The Spirit of compromise is one that caused the children of Israel to consort with the Midianite women, and lose
24,000 people. Perhaps if more effective leaders like Phinehas had taken a stand, the majority of the people would not have sinned. Compromise with the world can and does affect us more than we want to admit!
