ABORTION IS A SIN
Ps 139:13-16 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. Jer 1:4-5 Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations." NKJV
Prov 6:16-19 These six things the LORD hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren. Consider John the Baptist and Jesus, who were born for specific purposes. Perhaps the reason why so many people see that this is not a sin is found in the fact that we have lost the truth of the fact that man is made in the image of God, and that it is God’s decision, not ours as to when life begins and when life ends. From abortion the idea of euthanasia has now become rampant, with many deciding that they can and should end their own lives. We are not God, despite what some may say. Abortion is a sin, and this country, and every country that allows the practice of abortion will have to answer for it when God comes in righteous judgment on the world.

HOMOSEXUALITY IS A SIN
1 Cor 6:9-11 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God. NKJV
Rom 1:24-27 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. NKJV

Some believe that the church is obsessing over abortion and homosexuality, but it is perhaps due to the fact that so many have an “in your face,” “you have to accept us and our lifestyle” mentality. Homosexuality is a sin that God will judge, and despite the fact that some think Romans is an “obscure passage” the Bible is pretty clear about this. The desire to promote and encourage “same sex marriages” is yet another affront to the God of heaven, who set up marriage between a man and a woman in the very beginning of time (Genesis 2:18-24).

Other sins that God has clearly condemned can be looked at – let us not think that these two sins are the most heinous, or that we want to “obsess” over these. But these denote a cultural war going on in America that will continue to be fought for some time to come. Every sin comes from an effort to change God’s way, or to ignore God’s clear cut command. Every country that sins will come into judgment! Every person that sins will come into judgment – indeed, we all will. However, we have hope in Jesus Christ. He is the only answer to the problems of the world today. MAY OUR FIRST AND ONLY ALLEGIANCE BE TO HIM AND HIM ALONE!
