It is of great comfort to all of God’s people to know that God is with his people. Lately, with the stressful situations that seem to have hit this congregation hard, it is important to remember that we are not alone, but God is with us! Nothing can be of greater comfort now than that!

To the families of FRANK LINDSEY, JEAN DAVIS, JOE SHINHOLSTER and EDWARD KELLY, know that our prayers are with you! Let us, as a family, help all of these to bear their burdens at this time in their lives. Let us comfort them in any way we possibly can.

The greatest comfort comes from the WORD OF GOD. Here are some verses to meditate on and consider when stricken with pain and heart break – know that these things are true!

Matt 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. NKJV

Matt 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them." NKJV

John 14:16-18 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever — the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. NKJV

Acts 18:9-10 Do not be afraid, but speak, and do not keep silent; for I am with you, and no one will attack you to hurt you; for I have many people in this city." NKJV

Acts 23:11 But the following night the Lord stood by him and said, "Be of good cheer, Paul; for as you have testified for Me in Jerusalem, so you must also bear witness at Rome." NKJV

2 Thess 3:16 Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all. NKJV

Heb 13:5-6 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." So we may boldly say: "The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?" NKJV

1 Chron 28:20-21 And David said to his son Solomon, "Be strong and of good courage, and do it; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the LORD God — my God — will be with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you, until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD. NKJV

Ps 37:25-28 I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread. He is ever merciful, and lends; And his descendants are blessed. Depart from evil, and do good; And dwell forevermore. For the LORD loves justice, And does not forsake His saints; They are preserved forever, But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off. NKJV

Isa 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.' NKJV

Isa 41:17 The poor and needy seek water, but there is none, Their tongues fail for thirst. I, the LORD, will hear them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them. NKJV

God hears, knows and understands! He cares – cast all of your care on him – he has big enough shoulders to handle all of these things and more. And look forward to the day where we will be in his presence and comforted constantly by his grace!
