REMEMBER THE SICK

HANNAH ANDERSON, Jerry Anderson's granddaughter, was thrown from a horse and has a broken collarbone and six broken ribs.  She is in Atlanta Medical Center room 577.

SHEILA BUICE is scheduled for her thyroid operation on May 19 at Emory.

DORA COLE is now at Tranquility Hospice, room 3.

JEAN CRIBB had a biopsy on her right lung Thursday to check out a mass on her lung. 

HERSCHEL FREEMAN, Joy Freeman's husband, had a toe amputated this last week due to diabetes.

DOUG GLOSSON is now at home recovering from infection.

JESSE PETERS is still having respiratory problems at this time.

REBECCA TURPIN is sick at home.

 

OTHERS KNOWN TO US

J.D BARNETT, elder at Macland Road, is out of the hospital as doctors are trying to determine the next course of his treatment.

GINGER MEDLOCK GILE, known to many from Smyrna, will have a double mastectomy in May.  Her address is 158 Cannon Trail,  Dallas, 30157

JENNIE GRACE, Ora Green's daughter, has some serious health problems and will begin treatment.

TOMMY GRIFFIN (Sheila Buice's uncle) had a mild heart attack.  Doctors found 2 arteries 90% blocked and have opened them up.   He is doing well at this time.

TEDDY JACKSON, a cousin of Dwayne Watson, has pancreatic cancer.

GEORGIA LAYNE,  Joy Freeman's and Sue King's aunt, is in hospice care.

JOSEPHINE PAYNE, sister of Fred Campbell, is in rehabilitation at this time after having had open heart surgery.

MARY SEABOLT, Verna Hite's sister, had her defribillator replaced  and is having some issues with this at this time.

 

We express sympathy to Tami Stroud in the Loss of her grandmother, LIZ CHILDS, this last week.

MAY 22 Workday at Camp Inagehi  9:00 AM.  Preparation to get camp ready

MAY 30 FELLOWSHIP MEAL after morning service.  This meal will honor our graduates; 2:00 PM Service Afterward.

JUNE 6--12 CAMP INAGEHI.  Please make plans now to work around this so vacations and other events will not get in the way of camp.  The Theme this year will be "FAITHBOOK -- WILL YOU ACCEPT GOD'S FRIEND REQUEST?"

JULY 21-24  VBS at South Cobb.  The Theme is GOD'S CREATION; DIGGING FOR ANSWERS.  We will need the help of everyone to make this successful.  In conjunction with the VBS Dave Miller will be here Friday--Sunday July 23-25 to teach adult classes on this subject.

MAY 28-29, 2010  MARRIAGE ENRICHMENT SEMINAR HERE AT THE SOUTH COBB CHURCH OF CHRIST!  Glenn and Cindy Colley will be conducting this seminar for families on this date.

 The Elders and Deacons will have a meeting May 16 at 4:30 Sunday afternoon.  Please make plans to be here for that!

 

MAY 1 AND 8  we will have work days here at South Cobb in preparation for the upcoming Marriage Enrichment Seminar.  We will be cutting grass, and trying to start clean out some of the trash and junk at the church offices to prepare the house for painting and other work.  Please make plans to be here and help us out in our work!

 

 We have been asked to participate in supporting Georgia AGAPE in their efforts to place foster children and orphans in Christian homes.  Boyd Cribb Jr. and Rob Stroud are spearheading an effort to solicit contributions for a GOLF TOURNAMENT FUND RAISER MAY 17, and will be contacting you either by letter or phone.  If you can help in any way, please do so.
