REMEMBER THE SICK

SHEILA BUICE has been diagnosed with Graves disease.

BRENDA COX is going to Piedmont everyday to get her blood pressure under control with the meds she is taken to keep her body from rejecting her kidney.

SUSAN HAYES has been in the hospital this last week with pneumonia.

ASHLEY HULSEY is continuing steroids for respiratory problems.  She will be going to Duke University Hospital for a series of tests to try and finally determine what her problems are and the treatment options. 

JACKSON HULSEY will be admitted to Scottish Rite Hospital for a tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy on February 5.  He will stay 3-7 days due to other health problems such a a heart murmur and sleep apnea.

JESSE PETERS will have tubes put in his ears February 1.

JAMES SATTERFIELD, Eva Lou's husband,  was in St. Joseph's hospital this last week having tests run for a blockage in his arteries going to his intestines. 

MELBA SHINHOLSTER slipped on a patch of ice  and fell and broke her left foot.  Pray for her as she continues to recuperate. 

JENNIE STUBBLEFIELD had an MRI run on the bones of her foot on Thursday. X-rays revealed some shadows, and doctors are not sure what it is.

JANUARY 31 -- TEACHERS APPRECIATION DINNER
here at South Cobb.  We will honor our past and present teachers at this dinner after the morning service.  If you have taught in the past, or are teaching at present; please give a note to Jon Stroud telling him how long you taught and in what department.

FEBRUARY 5 -- Parent's Night Out from 6-10.  The charge will be $3.00 per child; children 2 and under are free.  Please let Michelle Novitch know by January 31 and give her the money. 

FEBRUARY 11 -- Senior's Luncheon at Stevie B's at 12:00 PM

FEBRUARY 12 -- Ladies Night Out at the Building.  The Project will be for the Battered Women's Shelter and make Valentines for our shut ins.

FEBRUARY 13 -- Group visitation and fellowship.  We will be dividing into different groups and having fellowship with the shut-ins and those in nursing homes.  Meet at the building at 2:00 PM

FEBRUARY 28 -- Youth Devotional after evening service in fellowship hall.  Hosted by Bruce and Ann Stroud.

MAY 28-29, 2010  MARRIAGE ENRICHMENT SEMINAR HERE AT THE SOUTH COBB CHURCH OF CHRIST!  Glenn and Cindy Colley will be conducting this seminar for families on this date, and we want to encourage everyone to be here for that!  This is for newly married as well as older couples, and also insights in child rearing and parenting will be included.   

JUNE 6--12 CAMP INAGEHI.  Our week of camp has changed this year to the first week of camp.  Please make plans now to work around this so vacations and other events will not get in the way of camp.  THANKS!

PRAY FOR THE PEOPLE OF HAITI AND THEIR LOSS AND DIFFICULTIES! We ask that any contribution you wish to make to these efforts be donated with that as the provision; we are supporting the efforts of the Judsonia Church of Christ who have down a tremendous job in helping already.  The Christian Chronicle reported that in one church of Christ in Haiti 150 of our brothers and sisters in Christ were killed.

 

LADIES BIBLE CLASS

A great new year's resolution would be to support the Ladies Bible Class that meets here at the building each Tuesday morning at 10:00 am.  This week the study will begin on Faith, Virtue, Knowledge, Temperance, Patience, Godliness, Kindness, Charity, and Abundance. Ladies you are missing a great blessing if you are not part of this class. Pray for this class and on Tuesday mornings at 10, let's let Christ know we are doing for Him what we can!
