REMEMBER THE SICK

AMBER BUICE has a growth on the outside of her eardrum.  She has been to numerous doctors, and the surgery may be sometime in October.

AUSTIN GRAVES, Celeste Peter's maternal grandfather, has multiple myloma, a blood cancer that attacks white blood cells and plasma.  The deformed cells turn into a tumor that attacks the bone  -- there is no cure for this type of cancer.

SHIRLEY GLOSSON  is now recuperating at home after being released from the hospital.

RICHARD HOLBROOK continues to do well after his recent surgery.

IRIS NORRIS, sister of David Decker, continues in Cobb Hospital  trying to overcome her breathing problems and  other issues.

THELMA PIRTLE has a severe ear infection, and it is  a staph infection.

DORSEY PRINCE hoped to be moved to a rehab facility Thursday so he can get some strength back.

D.C. TIDWELL, Tommy's dad, is having problems with pain continuing in his foot and with problems with low blood sugar.

James 5:14-15  Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. NKJV

FLOOD RELIEF

Continued thanks are for all of you who continue to come and help us distribute relief supplies to those affected by the recent floods.  As we continue to go into these areas we continue to be reminded of the hurt and devastation so many are experiencing.   Let us continue to show the compassion of Jesus as we persevere in helping all we can in whatever way we can.

Right now we are taking a breather and trying to figure out our next course of action.  Please continue to pray for us that we might be most effective in our benevolent efforts.  Also, pray for us as we contact these hurting with the gospel.

The Lithia Springs Church of Christ is hosting some workers from the Church of Christ Disaster Response from Melbourne, FL.  These workers will come and help tear out the damage done by the flood.  If you know of anyone that needs this kind of help, please contact Lithia Springs, or give their name to Tommy, and he will pass their name on.  Lithia Springs phone number is 770-941-4100.  They also have a relief truck from Nashville with a load of supplies

GA AGAPE'S CHANGE FOR CHILDREN  Charles Hampton will pick up the CHANGE FOR CHILDREN CANS October 11 at the building.

LATELY we have been making many calls on the calling tree about various things, and some have told us that they are not receiving their calls.  IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY CALLS LATELY, please check with LaRheasa and make sure that we have the appropriate phone numbers.  If you have had a phone number change, we do need to know!  Thanks!
