REMEMBER THE SICK
AMBER BUICE has a growth on the outside
of her eardrum and will have surgery on her ear sometime in September.
BRENDA COX recently fractured her right
arm, but has been able to be with us.
SHIRLEY GLOSSON has had some biopsies run
and will have to have a mass in her colon removed soon.
RICHARD HOLBROOK has had procedures to remove
skin cancer from his head, and it is more widespread than doctors
realized. He had an MRI run this week,
and surgery is scheduled for September 16.
GULLIAM NIXON is back in Windy Hill Long Term Acute Care Center,
room 306.
DORSEY PRINCE had another bout of congestive heart failure and is in
room 214 at Cobb Hospital.
MELBA SHINHOLSTER is still recuperating at home after breaking her left shoulder.
D.C. TIDWELL, Tommy's dad, had surgery
to remove infected tissue from his left foot, and has an infection in the
bone. He is in room 279 at Eliza Coffee
Hospital in Florence, AL
FRIENDS AND FAMILY
REJOICE! ZOE NIKOLE YARBOROUGH was born Tuesday, September
1 at 5:08 pm at Cobb Hospital. She
weighed 5lbs and 5 ozs. She is the
daughter of Nicolas and Robin Yarborough; Nicolas is the grandson of Irene Lindsey. Also, Irene's granddaughter in law, Brittany
Yarborough, has been in Tanner Medical Center with a kidney infection.
IRIS NORRIS, sister of David Decker, is ICU after having most of
her stomach removed due to a perforated ulcer.
ROBERT REAM, former member of Liberty Hill and known to many, has
several health problems and is in need of constant care.
OUR SYMPATHY is extended to JASON
FREEMAN, former
member here at South Cobb, who is mourning the loss of his father, who
committed suicide Sunday in Florida.

We rejoice, yet are saddened at the fact
that Jeremy and Jennifer Mills have found a new home in Dallas, GA. We
rejoice with them, but are saddened that they will probably leave South Cobb
and attend West Metro Church of Christ.

The 2009 Ladies Retreat -- September 18-19 at Camp
Inagehi. We hope all of our ladies
are making plans to attend. Friday's
activities begin at 7:00 PM. If you're
not spending the night, plan to join us for breakfast at 8:30 AM Saturday morning
or 9:30 AM for our first devotional of the day.
We will conclude by 3:00 PM. Hope
you can join us for all or part of the retreat.
For those spending the night, we will be staying in the staff
cabin. Please give your favorite dessert
recipe to Ann to be included in a
cookbook being compiled for the retreat
by next Sunday. If you have any
questions please contact Ann, Marice or LaRheasa.
WEDNESDAY BIBLE SCHOOL CLASSES BEGAN AGAIN SEPTEMBER 2.
Jon needs a class helper for the 2-3 year old class on Wednesday night.
He also needs a 1-3rd grade
teacher on Wednesday nights. If you can
help in any way, please see Jon Stroud.
The following classes will be offered -- let us encourage you to attend
and learn more about the Lord and His word.
LaRheasa Tidwell will be teaching the women's class on Women of
Genesis by Cindy Colley.
Tommy Tidwell will be teaching in the fellowship hall on the Holy
Spirit.
Bruce Stroud will be teaching on Practical Lessons for the Christian
from Deuteronomy.
