ANNOUNCEMENTS MAY 15, 2009
SICK AND IN NEED OF PRAYERS
SANDY
BRUNDIGE, Tommy's sister, has ankle surgery scheduled for May 22. They will replace the bones in her ankle
injured in an automobile accident about 25 years ago with plastic.
TIFFANY BUICE
has been taken to the gastroenterologist to see about acid reflux that is
making her sick every day. Sheila had a
doctor's appointment with her ENT to see about her sinuses again. Amber is still having numerous ear
infections.
JEANETTE
COOK is doing well from her recent neck surgery, but is now experiencing
congestive heart failure. She is
supposed to go back to Tupelo soon.
CLYDE
CARSON, former member here at South Cobb, has bone cancer and has been given 3 to
6 months to live. We must pray for Clyde,
Joan and Jeff at this time in their lives.
TOMMY GRIFFIN, Sheila Buice's uncle and former member at South Cobb, has had
multiple strokes. Tests are being run,
and at this time he is unable to work.
FAYE GRINDLEY, a former member of the Smyrna Church of Christ, is still having
problems with her heart.
ASHLEY HULSEY went to Emory Hospital doctors Thursday due to her breathing
problems. Let us pray that they find a
solution to these problems.
GULLIAM NIXON
is in rehabilitation at Cobb Hospital recuperating from an
amputated foot and breathing problems. Doctors continued to be concerned about
his foot, and unless it gets more oxygen, they will have to amputate some more
of it - possibly going up his leg.
JACKIE
STUBBLEFIELD will have surgery on her lower back sometime in June. They are still
considering neck surgery as well, but putting that off till a later date.
DRAKE
TIDWELL, TOMMY, DELMA (Tommy's dad) and CYNDI WIDNER (Tommy's sister) are suffering from bronchitis.
RHONDA and
AMY TURNER, Sue King's daughter and granddaughter, are sick at home with a virus.
We extend sympathy to the family of JEANETTE COOK, who passed away
Thursday in Florence, AL. Her funeral
was held Saturday, May 16, at the Greenhill Funeral Home in Greenhill, AL. There will be a memorial service in her honor
here at South Cobb on Monday at 3:00 PM.
Let's remember Don, Jennifer and Adam and the twins in their loss at
this time.
