SICK AND IN NEED OF PRAYERS

BARRY BROADWAY has been diagnosed with lymphoma, and a type of leukemia.  He has been doing better lately.

SHEILA BUICE will have sinus surgery April 13 at Douglas County Hospital Outpatient.

BRENDA COX has been in Cobb Hospital after having carotid artery surgery, which in turn threw everything off.  She is in room 387.

GAIL HOLBROOK is still having problems with electrical problems in her heart, and her recurring lung problems.  

ASHLEY HULSEY is in room 689 at Cobb Hospital again with lung problems. They did another bronchoscopy Tuesday.

LINDA JAMES, sister of Susan Jackson, has been taking chemo treatments for recurring cancer and now her cancer counts are in the single digits.  Doctors have taken her off chemo and will keep an eye on her at this time.

GULLIAM NIXON has been sick at home with a serious leg infection in his right leg, but was able to be with us last Sunday evening.   

JEREMY AND CELESTE PETERS are the new parents of JESSE GORDON PETERS, born Tuesday @11:44 AM.  He weighed 8 lbs 1 oz and was 18 inches long.  Rejoice with this family at this time.  They went home Thursday.

PAT SCHINALL, Margie Gattis' friend, is in room 692 at Cobb Hospital due to complications with her liver problems.

JENNIE STUBBLEFIELD had surgery on March 31 for a cyst that is causing her pain in one of her fingers.  JACKIE STUBBLEFIELD went to the surgeon April 1 and found she will have surgery on her neck in May.

TIM WALDEN, the husband of Gail Walden (Glenda Shipp's cousin), is now at home after being in Cobb Hospital.

 

We rejoice with Jeremy and Celeste Peters in the birth of JESSE GORDON PETERS March 31 at 11:44 AM.  He weighed 8 lbs 1 oz and was 18 inches long.  Both mom and baby are doing fine.

SOUTH COBB NEWS

·         Ladies Bible Class is every Tuesday at 10:30 am in the dining hall of the building.  All ladies are invited to participate.

·         JON STROUD needs volunteers for Youth Devotionals through 2009.  If you are interested in hosting a Youth Devotional, please see Jon.  Thanks!

·         JON STROUD also needs teachers for Wednesday night classes - if you can help please see him.

·         On the first and third Saturday of each month Eric will be going to "Luke's Place" and passing out literature and encouraging Bible studies.  If you want to participate, please be here each Saturday morning at 9:00 AM.

·         APRIL 9 - Senior Luncheon at 12:00 PM at the building.  Eleanor Walker is in charge.

·         APRIL 12 - FELLOWSHIP MEAL after evening services.  Menu will be sandwiches and soup.

·         APRIL 19 - Youth Devotional after Evening Service at the Building.  This will be hosted by Glenda Shipp.

·         APRIL 26 - Service Activity Fellowship at the Building.  Hosted by Eric and Lexann Johnson.

·         GEORGIA AGAPE   III John 4 says, "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in truth."  This verse shares the sentiment of all Christian parents.  What better way to teach your children to walk in truth than to share in ministry together!  Foster parenting with Georgia AGAPE is a great way to accomplish that very thing.  The first weekend in April we will begin Foster Parent Training classes at Georgia AGAPE.  We hope that you will consider joining.  Please call the AGAPE office for more information.  770-452-9995. 

·         CAMP INAGEHI Camp is around the corner.  Mark your calendars for June 28-July 3. Junior Day Camp is also available, July 13-17 from 9AM--4 PM.  Register NOW at www.campinagehi.org. 

 

AREA EVENTS

·         APRIL  25th -- 12th Annual Camp Inagehi Golf Tournament.  12:30 Check in time; 2:30 Tee Off.  The tournament will be at the West Pines Golf Club, Rose Avenue, Douglasville, GA.  Cost is 85.00 if pre-registered by April 16.

·         APRIL 26-30 Spring Gospel Meeting at the Bremen Church of Christ.  Frank Chesser will be the speaker during this meeting at 7:00 PM each evening.

·         MAY 2, 2009 Bremen Youth Rally. Speakers will be Justin Paschall and Chris Clevinger 9:00 AM, and lunch will be provided.
