SICK AND IN NEED OF PRAYERS
•BARRY BROADWAY was diagnosed with lymphoma, and doctors will keep a check on his platelets and white blood count, and if they stay normal, he will not have to receive treatments.
•BRENDA COX fainted during services last Sunday morning due to low blood pressure and low blood sugar. She is better at this time.
•EDDIE GOUGH, son of Francis Gough, has been diagnosed with cancer. He has a tumor on his thymus gland and one in his back.
•KATHERINE HESTER, a family friend of the Maupin’s is awaiting a liver transplant.
•BEN HOUSE JR., was in a motorcycle accident Sunday. He broke 3 ribs, his collarbone, and bruised his lungs. He had surgery to repair his broken left leg in three places and because of his lungs being bruised he is still on a ventilator. He is in the Atlanta Medical Center INtensive Care Unit. He and his family formerly attended South Cobb.
•GAIL HOLBROOK continues in Brian Care Center in Austell for rehab, and is having to go to the doctor for wound care. She is in room 112. Her goal is to go home May 1.
•TERRY HULSEY, Randy’s brother, had surgery Wednesday to reconnect his colon. He is in Cobb Hospital, room 426.
•DAVID JACKSON will have tests run on his bladder on April 29th at Kennestone Hospital.
•BRUCE LEFEVER, a friend of Jerry Anderson, had a stroke and is paralyzed on his right side, and cannot speak.
•DAVID LUTZ, brother of Jackie Stubblefield, has been diagnosed with cancer in his bones, lungs, lymph nodes and over his body
•MARY ROSS, cousin of Buddy Maupin, is suffering from lung cancer.
•PAT SCHINALL, friend of Margie Gattis, is awaiting a liver transplant. She is having further tests at Emory University at this time.
•JOE SHINHOLSTER, Melba’s husband, is suffering from lung cancer, peripheral artery disease, and other health problems. He was released from Kennestone last Sunday.
•ABBY SMITH, 3 year old friend of Michael and Nancy Walker, has a brain tumor and a tumor in her spine that is inoperable.
•JEAN STUBBLEFIELD, sister in law to Jackie Stubblefield and aunt to Larry and Jennie, is unable to get the needed kidney transplant, and is now very sick.
•DAWN STUBBLEFIELD has Graves Disease. Doctors will give her radioactive iodine to kill her thyroid gland, and then she will have to take hormones the rest of her life.
•LARRY STUBBLEFIELD continues in pain from the broken collarbone he suffered in a wreck recently. Doctors found that the bone has not knitted together, and there is a ½ inch gap between the bones.
•DELMA TIDWELL – Tommy’s father, is back at home after spending three days in Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence AL with congestive heart failure and pneumonia. He is not doing well at this time.
•ROBIE TROUT, Linda Nixon’s father, is in the hospital in Camden, TN after having had a stroke and a major heart attack. His heart is functioning at 20%, and he has an infection.

•The congregation has been asked to write letters of encouragement to a group of soldiers serving in the U.S. Army. •Our 4- 6th Grade class is collecting items for our military. The box is in the foyer in the back – please stop by the box and see what they need, and help out in giving some goodies from home for our service people overseas.
SOUTH COBB NEWS
•Bro. Blackmon will bring a lesson to the ladies this coming Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. during our regular Ladies Bible Class time at South Cobb in the fellowship hall. We will bring sandwiches / salads / or deserts (only bring one dish) and eat lunch together afterwards. We are hoping that all of our ladies who are available will come and share this time of study and fellowship with us.
•There is a weight loss support group meeting every Tuesday here at the building at 9:45 AM. The ladies meet in the Ladies Bible class room to encourage one another in their weight loss goals.
•We regret the resignation of LARRY STUBBLEFIELD as a deacon last Sunday. He stated that he needed time to take care of Dawn as she goes through these tests and trials dealing with her Graves Disease.
•PRAY FOR RAIN – and PRAY FOR THOSE WHO HAVE LOST SOME JOBS RECENTLY! PRAY PRAY PRAY!
