SICK AND IN NEED OF PRAYERS
•AMBER BUICE will have to be fitted for hearing aids, and Sheila asks that we remember them in our prayers. Sheila fell and hurt her leg, and may have to have surgery.
•EDDIE GOUGH, son of Francis Gough, has been diagnosed with cancer. He has a tumor on his thymus gland and one in his back. He will have further tests in 2 weeks to see how things are.
•KATHERINE HESTER, a family friend of the Maupin’s is awaiting a liver transplant.
•GAIL HOLBROOK had open heart surgery to replace a valve and do a bypass on Friday. She is holding her own at this time, and will be sleeping through this weekend, at which time they will begin to wake her up and start trying to get her stronger so she can go home. At this time it is still “touch and go” so please remember her in your daily prayers! She is in the CVICU room 309 at Kennestone Hospital.
•DAVID LUTZ, brother of Jackie Stubblefield, has been diagnosed with cancer in his bones, lungs, lymph nodes and over his body. He is having trouble with his chemotherapy, and is not doing very well at this time.
•CELESTE AND EMMETT PETERS were injured in a bicycle accident Friday evening. Both are at home and doing well – Celeste had a minor concussion and some staples to close a wound on her head.
•KALE RENFROE, Darlene Pirtle’s cousins 3 year old son, does not have cancer, and for that we are grateful to God.
JEAN RICHARDSON, sister of Annie Turner, is losing the sight in her eyes. Doctors are trying to stop her blindness, but nothing has worked at this time.
•MARY ROSS, cousin of Buddy Maupin, is suffering from lung cancer.
•PAT SCHINALL, friend of Margie Gattis, is awaiting a liver transplant. Margie and Pat are discouraged at this time – let’s remember both of them in our prayers.
•ROBIE TROUT, Linda Nixon’s father, is now at home after being in the hospital with congestive heart failure. He has good days and bad days.
•ABBY SMITH, 3 year old friend of Michael and Nancy Walker, has a brain tumor and a tumor in her spine that is inoperable.
•BRUCE STROUD was in Emory Hospital this last week because his heart raced up to 300 beats per minute. His ICD had to shock him 6 times in just a few short minutes, and doctors ran tests and changed his medication. He went home Saturday.
•JEAN STUBBLEFIELD, sister in law to Jackie Stubblefield and aunt to Larry and Jennie, is unable to get the needed kidney transplant, and is now very sick.
•LARRY STUBBLEFIELD continues in pain from the broken collarbone he suffered in a wreck recently. He had tests run this week to find out the extent of nerve damage.

MADDIE KENDRICK, Linda Nowon’s mother, passed away last Thursday morning. Her funeral was held this last Wednesday.
DOUG AND SHIRLEY GLOSSON had a tree fall on their carport Friday night in the storms that went through Atlanta, and a tree limb went through their roof into their kitchen.

•AMANDA WALL, former member here at South Cobb, is in IRAQ attached to duty in the Air Force. As soon as we receive an address we will put this in the bulletin as well.
•Our 4- 6th Grade class is collecting items for our military. The box is in the foyer in the back – please stop by the box and see what they need, and help out in giving some goodies from home for our service people overseas.

SOUTH COBB NEWS
•Ladies Bible Class – The ladies will continue at 10:30 AM each Tuesday.
•There is a weight loss support group meeting every Tuesday here at the building at 9:45 AM. The ladies meet in the Ladies Bible class room to encourage one another in their weight loss goals.
•We encourage everyone to attend SUNDAY NIGHT FOR THE SAVIOR. This was formerly Monday Night for the Master, and, in an effort to get more people involved, we will be meeting at 5:30PM on the 2nd and 4th Sunday nights of the month. The next meeting will be March 23rd. Come and help us as we visit and strive to do the work of the Lord.
•A member here at South Cobb has recently moved and needs a sofa, washer and dryer. Please let one of the elders or deacons know if you have any of these items you would like to donate or possibly sell.
•PRAY FOR RAIN – and PRAY FOR THOSE WHO HAVE LOST SOME JOBS RECENTLY! PRAY PRAY PRAY!

•Everyone should have received calls this week with the Call a Member calling tree we have set up for South Cobb. We have 2 months to try it then it will be $15 a month. Please let us know what you think of the service as your feedback will determine our participation. If you did not receive any of the messages, or would like the message to go to a different number than the one called please let LaRheasa know so we can figure out what happened, or she can make necessary changes.
•MARCH 16 – Third Sunday Fellowship Meal after the evening service. Please bring the dish of your choice, or any “green” dish and enjoy this time of fellowship with your brothers and sisters in Christ.

•JUNE 28 – Romeka Middleton and Ishmael Gordon’s wedding at the Macland Rd Church of Christ at 3:00 pm. They are registered at Target, Wal-Mart, Bed, Bath and Beyond and Macy’s. Due to capacity limits there will be a private reception for the family.

AREA EVENTS
•GA SCHOOL OF PREACHING will begin their Spring Quarter on March 20. Classes being offering on Tuesday evenings are 1 Corinthians, Life and Work of the Preacher, The God head, and Christian Evidences. On Thursday evenings Bible Geography, Acts of the Apostles, 2 Corinthians and Psalms and Song of Solomon will be offered. Registration forms are on the table in the foyer.
•MARCH 20 WEST COBB CHRISTIAN ACADEMY will be hosting a benefit featuring JEFF FOXWORTHY. The time 7:00-8:00 p.m. at the Macland Road church of Christ, 2732 Macland Road, Marietta. Ticket Pricing: $75 Comedy show only $150 Platinum Ticket Package- includes premium seating for show, exciting pre show autograph and photo session with Jeff Foxworthy, and scrumptious catered dessert bar. 50.00 tickets are for public service personnel and the military.
