IN NEED OF PRAYER
•JANE BAXTER, Charles Shipp’s sister, is now at home in hospice care.
•AMBER BUICE will have to be fitted for hearing aids. TIFFANY BUICE has been sick with the bug going around.
•DORA COLE is mourning the loss of her brother-in-law, Howard Cole, who passed away Tuesday from pneumonia. His funeral was Friday in Dallas, Ga.
•EVELYN DANIEL is some better, but is still afraid to get out until some of the flu has subsided.
•CHASE ELSNER, Denise Shipp’s one-year-old nephew, is in Scottish Rite Hospital with a drug induced coma because doctors cannot stop his seizures. Neurologists do not know why he is having seizures. He is hooked up to a ventilator.
•PEGGY ESTES has bronchitis and has been told by doctors not to talk for two weeks.
•DOROTHY FOWLER, Susan Jackson’s cousin, is now in hospice. Doctors have told her that they have done all they can to defeat the cancer.
•EDDIE GOUGH, son of Francis Gough, has been diagnosed with cancer. He has a tumor on his voice box and another in his back. He has been taking chemotherapy every three weeks, and the tumors have shrunk to one-fourth of their initial size.
•KATHERINE HESTER, a family friend of the Maupin’s, is awaiting a liver transplant.
•GAIL HOLBROOK continues her struggles with rheumatoid arthritis. This condition is affecting her organs, and is keeping her sick with bronchitis and causing other problems. 
•TERRY HULSEY, Randy Hulsey’s brother, is at home after having colon surgery. He will be at home for 4–6 weeks recuperating and hopefully be able to have an additional surgery.
•DAVID LUTZ, brother of Jackie Stubblefield, has been diagnosed with cancer in his bones, lungs, lymph nodes and throughout his body. He has had a difficult time with the chemotherapy treatments, but is doing much better.
•DARLENE PIRTLE has bronchitis and is very sick at home.
•THELMA PIRTLE is now back at home and doing well after surgery to replace her hip.
•KALE RENFROE, Darlene Pirtle’s cousin’s 3-year-old son, may have cancer, and the family has asked for the congregation’s prayers.
•MARY ROSS, cousin of Buddy Maupin, is suffering from lung cancer.
•PAT SCHINALL, friend of Margie Gattis, is awaiting a liver transplant.
•ABBY SMITH, the 3-year-old daughter of friends of Michael and Nancy Walker, has a brain tumor and another tumor on her spine that are inoperable.
•GAIL STEWART, a family friend of Marcia Anderson, is in Dekalb Medical Center with fluid on her lungs. She has been in the ICU, but is now in a room and doing better.
•JEAN STUBBLEFIELD, sister-in-law of Jackie Stubblefield and aunt to Larry and Jennie, is unable to get a kidney transplant and is now very sick.
•LARRY STUBBLEFIELD is in pain from the broken collarbone he suffered in a wreck recently. MRIs have shown that he does not have a torn rotator cuff, so doctors are attributing the pain to nerve damage.
•GERALD WASHINGTON, Laurel Bierley’s father, had hip surgery and is now rehabilitating in the hospital in Lewiston, N.Y.
•Many have been sick with the cold and cough that is going around. Please remember Shirley Glosson, Mark Orler and Shane Tidwell.

•ISHMAEL GORDON, Romeka Middleton’s fiancé, is serving in the Navy. His mailing address is AEAA Gordon, 3665 N.Princeton Ave., Oak Harbor, WA 98278. His phone number is (224) 619-2768. He has graduated and will receive his first duty assignment soon.
•KYLE HAMRICK, Tommy Tidwell’s niece’s husband, is in the Marine Corps in Fallujah, Iraq serving a one year deployment. His address is Cpl. Hamrick Jonathan, 9th Comm. BN I Mef HQ Co. Fwd. Mait. Plt. Cem., Unit 42570 FPO/AP 96426-2810.
•NATHAN KNOTTS has joined the Navy and reported to boot camp. His address is SR Knotts, R.N., Ship 5 Division 052, 3610 Illinois St., Great Lakes, IL. 60088-3118. Letters from Nathan are posted on the bulletin board.
•JOEY SHIPP, grandson of Charles & Glenda Shipp, has been deployed to Iraq in February. His mailing address while in Iraq is LCPL Joseph C. Shipp, MWSS 274 DET A HQCO, Unit 78107, FPO AE  09509-8107.

•AMANDA WALL, who formerly attended at South Cobb, is in Iraq serving in the Air Force. As soon as an address is available, it will be published in the bulletin.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
•Everyone is encouraged to attend “Sunday Night for the Savior.” at 5:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Sunday nights of the month. Come and help us as we visit and strive to do the work of the Lord.
•The Ladies’ Morning Bible Class meets on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. All ladies are invited to participate.
•A weight loss support group meets Tuesday at the building at 9:45 a.m. in the ladies’ Bible classroom. If you are interested, please come and see how everyone encourages one another.
•Romeka Middleton and Ishmael Gordon would like to invite everyone to celebrate with them at their wedding ceremony on June 28 at the Macland Road Church of Christ building at 3 p.m. Due to the capacity limits there will be a private reception for the family. They are registered at Target, Wal-Mart, Bed Bath & Beyond, and Macy’s.
•There will be a diaper baby shower for Jennifer Mills on March 8 beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the building. Please see Michelle Novitch for more details.
•The junior and senior girls would like to extend their cordial invitation to all ladies to afternoon tea on Sunday, March 2 at 3 p.m. in the fellowship hall. All are welcome to wear hats and gloves. If you are able to join us, please sign the sheet on the bulletin board.
•When planning an event for the congregation, please record it on the planning calendar in the foyer. If your event conflicts with another, please see Larry Stubblefield.

BENEVOLENCE
•The Raintree Village Children’s Home truck will be here on March 3. The most pressing needs are bleach, mops, brooms, cold medications, Hamburger Helper, air fresheners, liquid laundry detergent, cleaning products, thrift store items, furniture, fabric softener sheets, paper towels, snack foods, taco shells, refried beans, taco sauce, ladies hygiene products.

The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. at the building.
•March 13 — Seniors Luncheon
The luncheon will be held in the fellowship hall.

AREA EVENTS
•March 2–5 — Gospel Meeting
The Central Church of Christ in Covington, Ga. is hosting the meeting. Jerry Manasco from the Crestview congregation in Boaz, Ala. will speak.
•March 9–12 — Gospel Meeting
The New Hope Road Church of Christ in Dacula, Ga. is hosting the meeting. The theme is “Basic Bible Truths.”
•March 20 — Georgia School of Preaching
The spring quarter will begin soon. Classes being offering on Tuesday evenings are 1 Corinthians, Life and Work of the Preacher, The God Head, and Christian Evidences. On Thursday evenings, Bible Geography, Acts of the Apostles, 2 Corinthians and Psalms and Song of Solomon will be offered. Registration forms are on the table in the foyer.
•March 20 — WCCA Benefit with Jeff Foxworthy
The West Cobb Christian Academy will host a benefit comedy show with Jeff Foxworthy at the Macland Road Church of Christ building. at 7 p.m. Tickets are $75 for the comedy show only, or $150 for premium seating, a post-show autograph and photo session with Jeff Foxworthy, and a catered dessert bar.

YOUTH
•March 8 — Youth Rally
The Piedmont Rd. congregation is hosting the youth rally. The theme is “You can do it; He can help.” Terry Stuart from Blairsville, Ga. is the keynote speaker.
