PRAYER LIST
•JESSE BLANTON, nephew of Clyde and Joan Carson, has been deployed to Iraq by the army for his third tour of duty. He will serve for one year. His mailing address is: Capt. Jesse A. Blanton, 82nd Med. Co. (AA), APO AE 09333.
•AMBER BUICE was released from the hospital Friday night, she is doing better. All of her problems were due to her medication.
•DAVID CARTWRIGHT, a friend of Sheron Keith, is suffering from cancer.
•DEBRA HARDING, a friend of Sheron Keith, is suffering from cancer.
•GAIL HOLBROOK is undergoing medical exams and having lung and eyesight problems.
•PAT JOHNSON, Eric Johnson’s stepmother, is not doing well.
•JOHN LASSITER is at home and recovering slowly from a quadruple bypass operation.
•JENNIFER MILLS is suffering from Bell’s palsy.
•JEREMY & JENNIFER MILLS are expecting their first child. The baby is due on June 21.
•GUS NIXON is recovering from anemia and other health problems, and is doing better.

•JONATHAN & TAMI STROUD had a followup ultrasound for their second child, and everything appears normal. The baby boy is due in April.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
•Any member of South Cobb that has not filled out an areas of service form needs to do so as soon as possible and turn it in to Rob Stroud.
•Volunteers are needed to sign up to prepare the communion each month for 2006. A sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board in the foyer.
•Sunday door greeters are needed for 2006. There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board.
•Volunteers are needed to sign up to host the Sunday evening youth devotionals each month for 2006. A sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board in the foyer.
•Please support the Bible school at South Cobb. The entire congregation is studying the same lesson each Sunday morning. The hope is that these new classes will foster more family Bible study and ultimately result in each member of the congregation being a better student of God’s word. The weekly Bible reading assignment can be found on the website or in the bulletin. Each student, children as well as adults, should study these passages in preparation for his or her Sunday morning Bible class.
•Shane Tidwell and Cynthia Knepper will be married on May 27 at 2 pm at the South Cobb building. They are registered at Target and Bed, Bath & Beyond.
•A family at the Piedmont Road congregation is in immediate need of a daytime nanny. The job may require occasional overnight stays when the husband/father is out of town on business. If interested, please call the church office at 770-971-9933.

•All ladies are encouraged to attend the Ladies Bible Class each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the classroom located on the west side of the fellowship hall. An attended nursery is provided. The class is studying from “Friendship—Handle with Care,” written by Jane McWhorter.
•Camp Inagehi has published a cookbook and is selling them for $10. All proceeds go to benefit the camp. Please see Jonathan or Tami Stroud if you are interested in purchasing one.
•When planning an event for the congregation, please record it on the planning calendar in the foyer. If your event conflicts with another event, please see Larry Stubblefield.
MONDAY NIGHT FOR THE MASTER
•Monday Night for the Master meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month. A potluck dinner will begin at 6 p.m. Please come participate in this opportunity for fellowship and service.
BENEVOLENCE
•The pantry is in need of canned beef stew.
•A member of the congregation needs help financially. If you can contribute, please see one of the elders.
YOUTH
•Feb. 17–19 — YES Weekend 2006
The YES youth rally is hosted by the Forrest Park Church of Christ (Valdosta, Ga.). The theme is “The Rock” Matthew 7:24. See Jonathan Stroud if you are interested in attending.
•March 17–19 — S.O.A.R. Youth Rally
The Central Church of Christ in Augusta, Ga. will host the youth rally. The theme is “Guarding the Priceless” and Lonnie Jones will speak. See Jonathan Stroud if you are interested in attending.
•April 1 — Bible Bowl
The East Point Church of Christ is hosting its annual Bible Bowl. The questions will be based on Genesis, chapters 1–19. Volunteers are needed to coach a junior and senior team from South Cobb. If you are interested, see Jonathan Stroud.
SOUTH COBB EVENTS
•Feb. 9 — Senior Luncheon
The senior luncheon will be held at the Golden Corral on Austell Rd. at noon. The party room has been reserved for the golden agers to enjoy a period of fun and fellowship.
•Feb. 11 — The Ladies Appreciation Banquet
The annual banquet, held in honor of the ladies at South Cobb, will be held on Saturday (Feb. 11) at 6 p.m. The men will meet soon to discuss the menu. For more information, see Larry Stubblefield.
