PRAYER LIST
•JESSE BLANTON, nephew of Clyde and Joan Carson, has been deployed to Iraq by the army for his third tour of duty. He will serve for one year. His mailing address is: Capt. Jesse A. Blanton, 82nd Med. Co. (AA), APO AE 09333.
•AMBER BUICE was taken back to the hospital on Sunday. She is at Egleston and not doing well.
•DAVID CARTWRIGHT, a friend of Sheron Keith, is suffering from cancer.
•DEBRA HARDING, a friend of Sheron Keith, is suffering from cancer.
•GAIL HOLBROOK is undergoing medical exams and having lung and eyesight problems.
•RANDY JENKINS, a member of the Piedmont Road congregation will undergo a bone marrow transplant and needs volunteers to donate blood platelets. Anyone between the ages of 17 and 69 can be donors and platelets are not blood type specific. Those that are willing to be donors need to sign the spreadsheet on the bulletin board as soon as possible. These is also a letter on the bulletin board with additional information
•PAT JOHNSON, Eric Johnson’s stepmother, is not doing well.
•JOHN LASSITER is at home and recovering slowly from a quadruple bypass operation.
•JENNIFER MILLS is suffering from Bell’s palsy.
•JEREMY & JENNIFER MILLS are expecting their first child. The baby is due on June 21.
•JONATHAN & TAMI STROUD had a followup ultrasound for their second child, and everything appears normal. The baby boy is due in April.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
•This Sunday, each member at South Cobb will be asked to fill out a form and list the different areas that he or she is willing to serve. Sample forms are available in the foyer. Please think and pray about the different ways you can serve the Lord in 2006.
•Volunteers are needed to sign up to prepare the communion each month for 2006. A sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board in the foyer.
•Sunday door greeters are needed for 2006. There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board.
•Volunteers are needed to sign up to host the Sunday evening youth devotionals each month for 2006. A sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board in the foyer.
•Please support the Bible school at South Cobb. The entire congregation is studying the same lesson each Sunday morning. The hope is that these new classes will foster more family Bible study and ultimately result in each member of the congregation being a better student of God’s word. The weekly Bible reading assignment can be found on the website or in the bulletin. Each student, children as well as adults, should study these passages in preparation for his or her Sunday morning Bible class.
•Georgia AGAPE is in need of foster families. There will be an orientation and training series beginning on January 29. Contact Jayne Osburn for more information at 770-452-9995.
•A family at the Piedmont Road congregation is in immediate need of a daytime nanny. The job may require occasional overnight stays when the husband/father is out of town on business. If interested, please call the church office at 770-971-9933.
•Kyle and Crystal Walker and their daughters Shelby and Haleigh have moved to Cartersville. Their new address is 64 Berkeley Place, Cartersville, GA 30121. Their phone number is 770-607-4654.

•Jonathan and Tami Stroud have moved. Their new address is 6470 Sherwood Trail SW, Austell, GA 30168. Their phone number is (770) 941-0758.
•Robert Martin has asked for a one time contribution for computer equipment. Envelopes are available in the foyer for those who would like to contribute.
•All ladies are encouraged to attend the Ladies Bible Class each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the classroom located on the west side of the fellowship hall. An attended nursery is provided. The class is studying from “Friendship—Handle with Care,” written by Jane McWhorter.
•Camp Inagehi has published a cookbook and is selling them for $10. All proceeds go to benefit the camp. Please see Jonathan or Tami Stroud if you are interested in purchasing one.
•When planning an event for the congregation, please record it on the planning calendar in the foyer. If your event conflicts with another event, please see Larry Stubblefield.

MONDAY NIGHT FOR THE MASTER
•Monday Night for the Master meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month. A potluck dinner will begin at 6 p.m. Please come participate in this opportunity for fellowship and service.

BENEVOLENCE
•The pantry is in need of shortening, canned meats (ready to eat) and canned vegetables.
•A member of the congregation needs help financially. If you can contribute, please see one of the elders.

YOUTH
•Feb. 3–5 — Challenge Youth Conference (Gatlinburg, Tenn.)
The conference’s theme is “Challenge to be Bold.”
•Feb. 17–19 — YES Weekend 2006
The YES youth rally is hosted by the Forrest Park Church of Christ (Valdosta, Ga.). The theme is “The Rock” Matthew 7:24. See Jonathan Stroud if you are interested in attending.
•March 17–19 — S.O.A.R. Youth Rally
The Central Church of Christ in Augusta, Ga. will host the youth rally. The theme is “Guarding the Priceless” and Lonnie Jones will speak. See Jonathan Stroud if you are interested in attending.
•April 1 — Bible Bowl
The East Point Church of Christ is hosting its annual Bible Bowl. The questions will be based on Genesis, chapters 1–19. Volunteers are needed to coach a junior and senior team from South Cobb. If you are interested, see Jonathan Stroud.

SOUTH COBB EVENTS
•Jan. 27 — Friday Night Fellowship
All are invited to meet at the building at 7 p.m. for a night of fun and fellowship. Rob and Susan Stroud are hosting and have planned an evening of singing and Bible trivia. Feel free to bring drinks or desserts, but it is not necessary. Come be a part of this new opportunity to fellowship with your brothers and sisters in Christ.
•Jan. 29 — Report from Nelson Galarraga
Nelson Galarraga will give a report of the work being done in the Cobb County Hispanic community at the Sunday evening service.
•Feb. 11 — The Ladies Appreciation Banquet
The annual banquet, held in honor of the ladies at South Cobb, will be held on Saturday (Feb. 11) at 6 p.m. The men will meet soon to discuss the menu. For more information, see Larry Stubblefield.

AREA EVENTS
•Jan. 28–29 — Tara Beacon Lectureship
The Tara Beacon Lectureship is hosted by the Tara Church of Christ. The theme is “The Christian Family,” and speakers will include Jerry Whitmire, Scott Harp, Aubrey Johnson, Larry Acuff, Dan Jarrett, Phillip Satterfield, Roger Shepherd and Richard Harp. See the flyer posted on the bulletin for times and lesson topics.
