PRAYER LIST
•JESSE BLANTON, nephew of Clyde and Joan Carson, has been deployed to Iraq by the army for his third tour of duty. He will serve for one year. His mailing address is: Capt. Jesse A. Blanton, 82nd Med. Co. (AA), APO AE 09333.
•Melissa Broome, a friend of Dodie Tidwell, was fatally injured in a car accident last week. She left behind a father, mother, sister, brother-in-law and newborn niece. Dodie has asked that you remember her and the Broome family in your prayers.
•LIZ CAPES is now at home recovering from a kidney infection.
•EMMA HALL, sister of the late Bruce Taylor (he attended the Clarkdale congregation), has been placed in hospice care. Doctors have said her cancer is in the final stages.
•GAIL HOLBROOK has undergone several medical exams and is having lung and eyesight problems.
•RICHARD HOLBROOK had surgery last week to remove skin cancer.
•CHRIS & DENISE HUGHES were baptized by Tommy Tidwell last Thursday in order to make their “calling and election sure.”
•PAT JOHNSON, Eric Johnson’s stepmother, is not doing well.
•JOHN LASSITER is now at home recovering from a quadruple bypass operation.
•BRENDA LONG, Denise Shipp’s mother, is in Piedmont Mountain Hospital in North Georgia with congestive heart failure.
•JENNIFER MILLS is suffering from Bell’s palsy.
•JEREMY & JENNIFER MILLS are expecting their first child. The baby is due on June 21.
•MARVELENE PHILPOT moved to an assisted living facility in South Carolina to be nearer to her daughter. Her mailing address is Lexington Extended Care, Room 251A, Old Cherokee Rd., Lexington, SC 29072.
•CHARLES SHIPP recently had a heart catheterization and is doing well. He will undergo some additional tests in January.
•JON SHIPP has a lacerated spleen as a result of the recent car accident and will be out of work for a couple of weeks.
•JONATHAN & TAMI STROUD recently had the ultrasound for their second child. Anomalies were found which require further observation. Tami's follow-up ultrasound is scheduled for December 19.
•LARRY STUBBLEFIELD will have gastric bypass surgery on December 28 at Cobb Hospital.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
•Danielle Humphrey, daughter of Chris and Denise Hughes, will graduate from Shorter College or Dec. 10 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
•The Ladies Morning Bible Class is now meeting weekly on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. The class is now meeting in the classroom off of the fellowship hall.
•Several Jule Miller tapes are missing from the church library. If you know where they are, please let Bruce Stroud or Tommy Tidwell know as soon as possible.
•Sunday door greeters are needed for the rest of 2005 and 2006. Please sign up on the sheet on the bulletin board.
•Camp Inagehi has published a cookbook and is selling them for $10. All proceeds go to benefit the camp. Please see Jonathan or Tami Stroud if you are interested in purchasing one.
•The area churches of Christ are currently running a commercial on local channels: 2, 5 and 46 on Sunday mornings.
•When planning an event for the congregation, please record it on the planning calendar in the foyer. If your event conflicts with another event, please see Larry Stubblefield.
•Mark Estes has moved again. His new address is 1301 South Joyce Street #4316, Arlington, VA 22202.

MONDAY NIGHT FOR THE MASTER
•There will be no “Monday Night for the Master” until after New Year’s.

BENEVOLENCE
•Volunteers are needed Friday at 5 p.m. to help pack Christmas baskets and on Saturday morning to deliver them.
•Karen and Ronny Dorsey are collecting donations to provide gifts for the children of several families that were victimized by the recent floods. If you would like to help, see Karen or Ronny right away.

YOUTH
•Dec. 17 — Holiday Progressive Dinner
All youth are invited to participate in a progressive dinner that will be held this Friday in the homes of three South Cobb families. All participants will meet at the building at 5 p.m. and are asked to bring an inexpensive wrapped gift (under $10) to exchange. If you can provide transportation or need more information, see Jonathan Stroud.
•Dec. 27–30 — Exposure 2005
The theme is “The Reality Show” and will be held at the Huntsville Holiday Inn.
•Jan. 13–14 — JEWELS at Faulkner University
JEWELS is a youth rally for 9th–12th grade girls. The theme is “Putting on Patience,” and Melanie Jenkins will speak. See Tami Stroud if you are interested in attending.
•Feb. 3–5 — Challenge Youth Conference (Gatlinburg, Tenn.)
The conference’s theme is “Challenge to be Bold.” The cost to attend the conference will be approximately $75 (including hotel and transportation). See Jonathan Stroud if you are interested in attending.

SOUTH COBB EVENTS
•Dec. 29 — Ladies Outing (Helen, Ga.)
If you are interested in going on the trip, please see Willa Freeman or Michele Novitch.
•Jan. 15 — Friends Day
Please invite your friends to worship at South Cobb. There will be a fellowship meal following the morning service.
