•JESSE BLANTON, nephew of Clyde and Joan Carson, has been deployed to Iraq by the army for his third tour of duty. He will serve for one year.
•LIZ CAPES is in Cobb Hospital suffering from kidney stones. She is in Rm. 383.
•GAIL HOLBROOK has undergone several medical exams and is having lung and eyesight problems.
•RICHARD HOLBROOK is scheduled to have surgery to remove skin cancer on Dec. 7.
•PAT JOHNSON, Eric Johnson’s stepmother, is not doing well.
•JASON JOSEPH, a friend of Jeff and Michele Novitch, has lung cancer and is not doing well.
•JOHN LASSITER recently had quadruple bypass surgery at Crawford-Long. He was able to come home last week and plans to see his doctor this week for a follow-up.
•JENNIFER MILLS is suffering from Bell’s palsy.
•MARVELENE PHILPOT moved to an assisted living facility in South Carolina to be nearer to her daughter.
•MELBA SHINHOLSTER had a second eye surgery last week. This surgery went much better than the first.
•CHARLES SHIPP had a heart catheterization at Piedmont Hospital last Monday and is doing well.
•JON SHIPP has a lacerated spleen as a result of the recent car accident and will be out of work for a couple of weeks.
•NELLIE MAY SIMPSON, mother of Margeret Watson, had to postpone shoulder replacement surgery because of an infection.
•JONATHAN & TAMI STROUD recently had the ultrasound for their second child. Anomalies were found which require further observation. Tami's follow-up ultrasound is scheduled for December 19.
•LARRY STUBBLEFIELD will have gastric bypass surgery on December 28 at Cobb Hospital.
•KYLE THOMPSON, cousin of Carlie Peal, is having heart problems. He had a heart transplant at birth and his body is now rejecting the heart. He is 14 years old.
•LARHEASA TIDWELL lost her grandmother, Thelma Ballard, last Saturday. The funeral will be Thursday in Texas. Please remember her as she travels out of town.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
•Camp Inagehi has published a cookbook and is selling them for $10. All proceeds go to benefit the camp. Please see Jonathan or Tami Stroud if you are interested in purchasing one.
•The area churches of Christ are currently running a commercial on local channels: 2, 5 and 46 on Sunday mornings.
•The Ladies Morning Bible Class is now meeting weekly on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. The class is now meeting in the classroom off of the fellowship hall.
•Several Jule Miller tapes are missing from the church library. If you know where they are, please let Bruce Stroud or Tommy Tidwell know as soon as possible.
•Sunday door greeters are needed for the rest of 2005 and 2006. Please sign up on the sheet on the bulletin board.
•There will be a ladies ornament exchange on Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. The location will be determined soon. All ladies who would like to participate should bring a wrapped ornament (costing no more than $10) and your favorite finger food.
•A family is still needed to host the main course of the youth’s holiday progressive dinner on December 17. Please see Jonathan Stroud if you are interested.
•When planning an event for the congregation, please record it on the planning calendar in the foyer. If your event conflicts with another event, please see Larry Stubblefield.

MONDAY NIGHT FOR THE MASTER
•Everyone is encouraged to attend Monday Night for the Master. Please use this opportunity to rededicate yourself to service for the Lord. There is plenty of work for everyone!

BENEVOLENCE
•Please continue to bring pantry items for Christmas baskets. The pantry is especially in need of corn meal, shortening and sugar.
•If you know of individuals or families that could use a basket, please give those names in writing to Clyde Carson as soon as possible.
•If you would like to help provide Christmas gifts for underprivileged children, please see Ronny or Karen Dorsey.

YOUTH
•Dec. 17 — Holiday Progressive Dinner
All youth are invited to participate in a progressive dinner that will be held in the homes of three South Cobb families. All participants will meet at the building at 5 p.m. and are asked to bring an inexpensive wrapped gift (under $10) to exchange. If you can provide transportation or need more information, see Jonathan Stroud.
•Dec. 27–30 — Exposure 2005
The theme is “The Reality Show” and will held at the Huntsville Holiday Inn. The cost is $80. Please make your checks payable to the church and give them to Jonathan or Rob Stroud. The final deadline is today.
•Jan. 13–14 — JEWELS at Faulkner University
JEWELS is a youth rally for 9th–12th grade girls. The theme is “Putting on Patience,” and Melanie Jenkins will speak. See Tami Stroud if you are interested in attending.
•Feb. 3–5 — Challenge Youth Conference (Gatlinburg, Tenn.)
The conference’s theme is “Challenge to be Bold.” The cost to attend the conference will be approximately $75 (including hotel). See Jonathan Stroud if you are interested in attending.

SOUTH COBB EVENTS
•Dec. 10 — Planning Session
The annual men’s planning session will begin at 9 a.m. If you have anything that needs to be discussed, please put it in writing and give to one of the elders.
•Dec. 11 — Camp Inagehi Presentation
Johnny McDaniel will give a report of the work at Camp Inagehi and offer the invitation at the evening service.
•Dec. 29 — Ladies Outing (Helen, Ga.)
