PRAYER LIST
•JESSE BLANTON, nephew of Clyde and Joan Carson, has been deployed to Iraq by the army for his third tour of duty. He will serve for one year.
•STEPHANIE BURKS, who has been attending services and studying with Bruce Stroud, Dwayne Watson and Eric Johnson, was baptized last week.
•GAIL HOLBROOK has undergone several medical exams and is having lung and eyesight problems.
•PAT JOHNSON, Eric Johnson’s stepmother, is not doing well.
•JASON JOSEPH, a friend of Jeff and Michele Novitch, has lung cancer and is not doing well.
•JOHN LASSITER recently had quadruple bypass surgery at Crawford-Long.
•JENNIFER MILLS is suffering from Bell’s palsy.
•MARVELENE PHILPOT moved to an assisted living facility in South Carolina to be nearer to her daughter.
•MELBA SHINHOLSTER had cataract surgery recently and it did not go as doctors had hoped. She will have another surgery soon.
•CHARLES SHIPP had a heart catheterization at Piedmont Hospital on Monday.
•JON & DENISE SHIPP responded to the invitation last Sunday saying they have taken their lives for granted before the car accident and wanted to rededicate their lives to God. Jon has a lacerated spleen as a result of the car accident and will be out of work for a couple of weeks.
•NELLIE MAY SIMPSON, mother of Margeret Watson, had to postpone shoulder replacement surgery because of an infection.
•JONATHAN & TAMI STROUD recently had the ultrasound for their second child. Anomalies were found which require further observation. Tami's follow-up ultrasound is scheduled for December 19.
•KYLE THOMPSON, cousin of Carlie Peal, is having heart problems. He had a heart transplant at birth and his body is now rejecting the heart. He is 14 years old.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
•MYRNA MCKENZIE announced that she would like to be a part of the congregation here at South Cobb. Her address is 4995 Promenade Dr., Atlanta, GA 30331.
•Camp Inagehi has published a cookbook and is selling them for $10. All proceeds go to benefit the camp. Please see Jonathan or Tami Stroud if you are interested in purchasing one.
•The area churches of Christ are currently running a commercial on local channels: 2, 5 and 46 on Sunday mornings.
•The Ladies Morning Bible Class is now meeting weekly on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. The class is now meeting in the classroom off of the fellowship hall.
•Several Jule Miller tapes are missing from the church library. If you know where they are, please let Bruce Stroud or Tommy Tidwell know as soon as possible.
•Sunday door greeters are needed for the rest of 2005 and 2006. Please sign up on the sheet on the bulletin board.
•There will be a ladies ornament exchange on Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. The location will be determined soon. All ladies who would like to participate should bring a wrapped ornament (costing no more than $10) and your favorite finger food.
•If you would like to host a course of the meal at the youth’s holiday progressive dinner on December 17, please let Jonathan Stroud know as soon as possible. Two families are still needed to host and provide soup and salad, and the main course.
•When planning an event for the congregation, please record it on the planning calendar in the foyer. If your event conflicts with another event, please see Larry Stubblefield.

MONDAY NIGHT FOR THE MASTER
•Everyone is encouraged to attend Monday Night for the Master. Please use this opportunity to rededicate yourself to service for the Lord. There is plenty of work for everyone!

BENEVOLENCE
•Please continue to bring pantry items for Christmas baskets. The pantry is in need of all staple items.
•If you know of individuals or families that could use a basket, please give those names in writing to Clyde Carson as soon as possible.

YOUTH
•Dec. 27–30 — Exposure 2005
The theme is “The Reality Show” and will held at the Huntsville Holiday Inn. The cost is $80. Please make your checks payable to the church and give them to Jonathan or Rob Stroud. The final deadline is Sunday night.
•Jan. 13–14 — JEWELS at Faulkner University
JEWELS is a youth rally for 9th–12th grade girls. The theme is “Putting on Patience,” and Melanie Jenkins will speak. See Tami Stroud if you are interested in attending.
•Feb. 3–5 — Challenge Youth Conference (Gatlinburg, Tenn.)
The conference’s theme is “Challenge to be Bold.” The cost to attend the conference will be approximately $75 (including hotel). See Jonathan Stroud if you are interested in attending.

SOUTH COBB EVENTS
•Dec. 10 — Planning Session
The annual men’s planning session will begin at 9 a.m. If you have anything that needs to be discussed, please put it in writing and give to one of the elders.
•Dec. 11 — Camp Inagehi Presentation
Johnny McDaniel will give a report of the work at Camp Inagehi and offer the invitation at the evening service.
•Dec. 29 — Ladies Outing (Helen, Ga.)
