PRAYER LIST
•JESSE BLANTON, nephew of Clyde and Joan Carson, has been deployed to Iraq by the army for his third tour of duty. He will serve for one year.
•SANDY BRUNDIGE, Tommy Tidwell’s sister, has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
•LIZ CAPES is continuing to recover from a heart attack and other health problems.
•EMMA HALL, sister of the late Bruce Taylor, has colon cancer and is in Rm. 527 at Braly Nursing Home in Dallas, Ga.
•GAIL HOLBROOK has undergone several medical exams and has learned she has reduced lung capacity and is having eyesight problems.
•PAT JOHNSON, Eric Johnson’s stepmother, is not doing well.
•JASON JOSEPH, a friend of Jeff and Michele Novitch, has lung cancer and is not doing well.
•JOHN LASSITER had quadruple bypass surgery at Crawford-Long last week and hopes to be released from the hospital today.
•JENNIFER MILLS is suffering from Bell’s palsy.
•MARVELENE PHILPOT saw the doctor recently and hopes to return home soon. She will no longer be able to live alone.
•MELBA SHINHOLSTER had cataract surgery recently and it do not go as doctors expected. She will have another surgery soon.
•JON & DENISE SHIPP responded to the invitation on Sunday saying they have taken their lives for granted before the car accident and wanted to rededicate their lives to God. Jon has a lacerated spleen as a result of the car accident and will be out of work for a couple of weeks.
•JONATHAN & TAMI STROUD recently had the ultrasound for their second child. Anomalies were found which require further observation. Tami's follow-up ultrasound is scheduled for December 19.
•KYLE THOMPSON, cousin of Carlie Peal, is having heart problems. He had a heart transplant at birth and his body is now rejecting the heart. He is 14 years old.
•DELMA TIDWELL, Tommy Tidwell’s father, continues to have circulation problems in his feet due to diabetes.
•ANNIE TURNER is mourning the loss of her daughter, Patricia Nance. Her daughter had undergone knee surgery and was recovering at a friend’s home and passed away in her sleep.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
•MYRNA MCKENZIE announced that she would like to be a part of the congregation here at South Cobb. Her address is 4995 Promenade Dr., Atlanta, GA 30331.
•The area churches of Christ are currently running a commercial on local channels: 2, 5 and 46 on Sunday mornings.
•Camp Inagehi cookbooks are on sale for $10. All proceeds go to benefit the camp. Please see Jonathan or Tami Stroud if you are interested.
•The Ladies Morning Bible Class is now meeting weekly on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. The class is now meeting in the classroom off of the fellowship hall.
•Several Jule Miller tapes are missing from the church library. If you know where they are, please let Bruce Stroud or Tommy Tidwell know as soon as possible.
•Sunday door greeters are needed for the rest of 2005 and 2006. Please sign up on the sheet on the bulletin board.
•There will be a ladies ornament exchange on Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. The location will be determined soon. All ladies who would like to participate should bring a wrapped ornament (costing no more than $10) and your favorite finger food.
•If you would like to host a course of the meal at the youth’s holiday progressive dinner in December, please let Jonathan Stroud know as soon as possible.
•When planning an event for the congregation, please record it on the planning calendar in the foyer. If your event conflicts with another event, please see Larry Stubblefield.

MONDAY NIGHT FOR THE MASTER
•Everyone is encouraged to attend Monday Night for the Master. Please use this opportunity to rededicate yourself to service for the Lord. There is plenty of work for everyone!

BENEVOLENCE
•Please make plans to come help put together and deliver Thanksgiving baskets on Friday at 5 p.m. in the fellowship hall.
•Please continue to bring pantry items for Christmas baskets. The pantry is in need of all staple items.
•If you know of individuals or families that could use a basket, please give those names in writing to Clyde Carson as soon as possible.
•This coming Sunday, November 20, is the Thanksgiving Appeal day for Georgia AGAPE. Every family is encouraged to come prepared to participate in the special collection to support the work of this ministry to children and families in need. Supporting AGAPE is an effective way to help fight child abuse, encourage alternatives to abortion, provide Christian homes to “homeless” children and strengthen families. As a licensed, church sponsored placing agency, AGAPE provides a tremendous avenue for the church to reach out and make a difference. Please come prepared to give generously and help AGAPE reach its goal of raising over $300,000. If you will not be present this Sunday, you can may still participate by giving your contribution to Rob Stroud or one of the elders.

YOUTH
•Dec. 27–30 — Exposure 2005
The theme is “The Reality Show” and will held at the Huntsville Holiday Inn. The cost is $80. Please make your checks payable to the church and give them to Jonathan or Rob Stroud.
•Jan. 13–14 — JEWELS at Faulkner University
JEWELS is a youth rally for 9th–12th grade girls. The theme is “Putting on Patience,” and Melanie Jenkins will speak. See Tami Stroud if you are interested in attending.
•Feb. 3–5 — Challenge Youth Conference (Gatlinburg, Tenn.)
The conference’s theme is “Challenge to be Bold.” The cost to attend the conference will be approximately $75 (including hotel). See Jonathan Stroud if you are interested in attending.

SOUTH COBB EVENTS
•Nov. 20 — Report from missionary Robert Martin
Robert Martin will report at the evening service about the missionary work in the Pacific Islands.
•Dec. 10 — Planning Session
The annual men’s planning session will begin at 9 a.m. If you have anything that needs to be discussed, please put it in writing and give to one of the elders.
•Dec. 11 — Camp Inagehi Presentation
Johnny McDaniel will give a report of the work at Camp Inagehi and offer the invitation at the evening service.
•Dec. 29 — Ladies Outing (Helen, Ga.)
If you are interested in going on the trip, please see Willa Freeman or Michele Novitch.
