PRAYER LIST
•BRENDA ACKLAND, daughter of Cella Banks (coworker of Susan Barnett and Eric Johnson), has been diagnosed with skin cancer. She underwent a procedure to remove the cancer and has begun radiation treatments.
•MYRTLE BAILEY, mother of Jeanette Cook, fell and broke her leg.
•SANDY BRUNDIGE, Tommy Tidwell’s sister, has been diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy and radiation.
•LIZ CAPES has recently been suffering from pneumonia, but was able to be at church on Sunday.
•LUCINDA COALSON fell and broke her leg last week. If you would like to send her a card, her address is 139 Orchard Circle, Commerce, GA 30529. Her phone number is 706-335-7877.
•BOB DAVIS is still at home recuperating from a concussion, and is not doing well.
•The GARDNER Family from the Sandrock congregation in Center, Ala. lost Eddie Gardner, a husband and father of two young daughters. The family does not have enough money for funeral arrangements. If you can contribute, please see Rob Stroud or Kyle Walker.
•JERRY HUDGINS, cousin of Jackie Stubblefield, is undergoing chemotherapy. His mother Betty is also not doing well.
•LARRY KING responded to the invitation on Sunday morning and asked for the prayers of the congregation.
•HAILIEGH LAFAYETTE, cousin of Marcia Anderson, is in Scottish Rite Hospital suffering from sickle cell anemia.
•DORSEY PRINCE is still suffering from shingles. It might take as long as six months to make a full recovery.
•BETTY ROGERS, a coworker of Susan Barnett, is being tested for a bone marrow disease. Doctors are also checking for lupus and think there might be other problems. Her husband, ROY ROGERS, recently discovered he had two spots on his lungs that might be cancerous.
•BRUCE STROUD will have open heart surgery on May 6 to have two valves replaced and to have the wires from his old implant removed.
•DELMA TIDWELL, Tommy Tidwell’s father, is not doing well. He has recently had the flu and continues to have vision problems.

SHUT-INS
Continue to remember MARY BERINGAUSE, TIFFANY and AMBER BUICE (genetic metabolic problems), MARY CAMPBELL, LIZ CAPES, FRANCES GOUGH, ORA GREEN, NELL HICKS, MABLE JONES, DIMPLE PIGG, MOTT PRINCE, EDNA SUDDETH, FLORA TIDWELL and LENA TINNEY.

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
•Chris Tidwell and Dodie Lankford are to be married this Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at the South Cobb building. They are registered at Target and Bed Bath & Beyond.
•Please be sure to pick up the directory updates from the tables as you enter the building. A third set of updates is now available. If you know of any other updates, please let Jonathan Stroud know.
•Tommy Tidwell needs the name of all graduates, so they can be honored at next month’s fellowship meal.
•If you are interested in working at camp this year, please see Jonathan or Tami Stroud. Counselors, craft workers, day helpers, and kitchen workers are needed.
•The sign-up sheet for the Sunday night youth devotionals is on the bulletin board. Please consider signing up. Host families are responsible for choosing a date, making sure there is a speaker and providing the meal.
•Please make plans to attend Monday Night for the Master this week at 6 p.m. There is plenty of work for everyone. This week’s menu is pot luck.
•Door greeters are desperately needed. Please sign up on the sheet on the bulletin board.
•Contributions are needed to help pay to send needy children to Camp Inagehi and to pay for additional activity costs for this year’s season. We are trying to raise $1,500. If you can help, please see Jon or Rob Stroud. Make your checks payable to the church.
•The Camp Inagehi golf tournament will be held April 30 at the Bear Creek Golf Course in Douglasville.
•When planning an event for the congregation, please record it on the planning calendar in the foyer. If your event conflicts with another event, please see Larry Stubblefield.

BENEVOLENCE
•The pantry is in need of canned goods and other staple items.
•Raintree Village will hold its annual Mother’s Day contribution on May 8. Please put your contributions in a Raintree envelope and drop them into the collection plate or give them to Rob Stroud.

YOUTH
•April 30 — Friend’s Day for Young People at Forest Park Church of Christ
•May 3 — Peachtree City Church of Christ Youth Night
As part of the the Gospel Meeting, youth are invited to a night of fellowship from 6–9 p.m. Lonnie Jones will speak.
•May 7 — Bremen Youth Rally
The theme will be “Trading Spaces” based on Romans 12:2.
•June 24 — Church of Christ Day at Six Flags
Tickets and lunch are $35. Season Pass holders may purchase lunch tickets for $10. Please let Jonathan Stroud know if you plan to attend.
•June 26–July 2 — South Cobb week at Camp Inagehi
Applications are available on the tables in the foyer or online at www.campinagehi.org.

SOUTH COBB EVENTS
•May 15 — Fellowship Meal in honor of 2005 Graduates
The meal will follow the evening service and will be a covered dish meal. All graduates’ names need to be given to Tommy Tidwell.

AREA EVENTS
•April 27–28 — Bremen Church of Christ Gospel Meeting
Winford Claiborne from Fayetteville, Tenn. will speak.
•May 1–3 — Peachtree City Church of Christ Gospel Meeting
The theme is “Faith and Family: Growing Stronger and Closer in Jesus,” and Lonnie Jones will speak.
•May 1–4 — Canton Church of Christ Gospel Meeting
Melvin Bryant from Macland Rd. Church of Christ will speak.
•June 4 — McDonough Church of Christ Ladies Day
The theme is “Willing Hands;Willing Hearts,” and Teresa Hampton will speak. There is a sign-up list on the bulletin board.
•Sept. 9–11 — Bremen Lectureship
All lessons will be taken from 2 Thessalonians. Speakers will include Robert Taylor Jr., William Woodson, Bobby Liddell, James Segars, David Smith, Kenneth Gossett and James Rogers.
