PRAYER LIST
•LAURA TIDWELL, Tommy Tidwell’s mother, is undergoing chemotherapy again. It is making her very sick.
•DELMA TIDWELL, Tommy Tidwell's father, is not doing well at this time.
•MARY CAMPBELL is now undergoing chemotherapy for leukemia at Emory.
•BRENDA LONG, Denise Shipp’s mother, had knee replacement and leg straightening surgery. Denise said that the surgery went very well.
•WILLIAM HALL is undergoing treatment for heart and cancer related problems.
•GROVER COLE continues to struggle with heart problems. His doctors have decided to treat his problems with medicine at this time.
•ORA GREEN is confined to her bed after several recent falls.
•RICKY TURNER, son-in-law of Sue King, is suffering with blood pressure problems.
•VIOLA ANDERSON, Jerry Anderson’s mother, is still in an Anniston, Ala. hospital with a urinary tract infection. Her health is improving and Jerry anticipates that she will return soon to the nursing home.
•BEVERLY WOODRING, Helen McMahan’s sister, had back surgery last Tuesday.
•CRYSTAL IKENBURG, Helen McMahan’s niece and Beverly Woodring’s daughter, underwent brain surgery at Emory on Tuesday, July 27.
•REGINA MCLEESE, Larry and Judy King’s daughter, will undergoing back surgery in Illinois on Aug. 3.

SHUT-INS
Continue to remember LIZ CAPES, MABLE JONES, LENA TINNEY, FRANCES GOUGH, TIFFANY and AMBER BUICE (genetic metabolic problems), DIMPLE PIGG, JANELLE IANNARELLI, ORA GREEN, MOTT PRINCE, NELL HICKS and EDNA SUDDETH.

GENERAL REQUESTS
•The Elder's have asked the congregation to consider men who could be appointed deacons to help in the work of the church. The following men are now working in the following areas:

If you would like to nominate anyone else, please ask him if he is willing to serve and in what specific area he will serve before submitting his name.
•Help is needed to keep the retention pond cut and cleaned up. Please let Tommy Tidwell know if you can help.
•Door greeters are needed for the remainder of the year. This is a very important work—please help us out by signing up.
•JANE NEWLAND has moved to Centre, AL. Her address is 475 County Road 462, Centre, AL 35960. Her phone number is (256) 927-7187.
•RUBY JOHNSON, Margaret Watson’s sister, would appreciate mail as she continues to serve in the military. Her address is SFC Ruby Johnson, HHC 1 — 25th Avn Regt, APO AE 09313.
•DWAYNE WATSON is also serving overseas and would appreciate mail. His address is: SSG Watson, Dwayne GSE 175th Maintenance Company (DS), Camp Arifjan, APO AE 09366.

BENEVOLENCE
•We need canned goods and staple items for the pantry.
•Raintree Village Children and Youth Home will have their food truck in the Atlanta area on Sept. 7–8 (Tuesday and Wednesday). There is an extensive list of their pressing needs on the bulletin board in the foyer. Please place items in the large box labeled “Raintree” in the foyer.

YOUTH
•VBS will be July 28–30 from 7:30–9 p.m. We will study 3 parables this year. Please plan to bring your children, grandchildren and neighbors. See the bulletin board to sign up to help with refreshments, costumes and crafts.
•Anyone interested in planning the 2005 South Cobb/Macland Rd. Youth Rally, should attend a planning meeting at the Macland Rd. building on Sunday, Aug. 8 at 4 p.m. We will discuss the date, theme, speaker(s), location(s) and promotional needs for the youth rally. See Jonathan Stroud for more information.

The church will have a booth at the fair and will pass out information. We will try to set up Bible correspondence courses and Bible studies. We need your help to staff the booth. A sign-up sheet will be placed on the bulletin board. Below is a list of the times the fair is open. We are required to have someone at the booth at all times when the fair is open. The times are as follows:

AREA EVENTS
•July 12–August 23 — "Surviving Sorrow—How to Triumph Through Tears" Grief support seminar at the Central Church of Christ each Monday from 7–9 p.m.
•August 7 — Ladies Day at Turner Road Church of Christ
•October 1–3 — Elder's Leadership Training Seminar
The seminar will be held at the Macland Road Church of Christ. Topics will include helping members grow to maturity and helping weak members become stronger. Tom Holland and William Woodson will speak.
•October 23 — Ladies Day at the Central Church of Christ
Becky Blackmon will speak and Serenade will perform. The fee is $15 per person.
•November 6 — Ladies Day at Macland Road Church of Christ
“GOD IS OUR ANCHOR” will be the theme.
