SOUTH COBB NEWS

JULY 21-24  VBS at South Cobb.  The Theme is GOD'S CREATION; DIGGING FOR ANSWERS.  In conjunction with the VBS Dave Miller will be here Friday--Sunday July 23-25 to teach adult classes on this subject.

For VBS we need you to bring cookies, Capri suns, drinks and snacks of various kinds.  Thank you for all you do to make this successful.

Lunch will be provided for everyone  Saturday.  Menu is sandwiches and salad -- if you would like to help or donate money please see LaRheasa.

Our Summer Series will consist of going through the Search for Truth Series used to teach the gospel to others.  This will be a good time for all of us to "brush up" on basic Bible truths, and hopefully encourage us to use some of these to sow the seed of the Word of God.  Men who have been through the Fishers of Men Training Class will lead in this.

It has been said that we can do no great things, only small things with great love.  That is especially true in service as a foster parent.  Those small things you do to show children they are loved are used by God to do great things in their lives.  Currently, we are in need of families who are willing to open their home for sibling groups or older children.  Please consider joining our next foster parent training series where you can gather information and learn what foster parenting is all about.  Our classes are conducted over just two weekends to make it more convenient for you.  Our next series of classes begins August 20.  Please call Jayne Osburn for more information and to register.  (770-452-9995)
