 REMEMBER THE SICK

We reported that MANSEL CARPENTER (former preacher at Clarkdale and Liberty Hill) had recurring cancer, but that was in error.  Doctors told him that he is in remission, and he does not have to return to see the doctor for 4 months.  We are sorry for that misinformation.

FRANCESCA COWAN had surgery this last week and will be at home for some time.

RICHARD HOLBROOK is taking radiation treatments for his skin cancer at Emory.

PHYLLIS HOLMES, Betty Singleton and Sheron Keith's sister, had a skin graft operation at Grady Hospital.  She is doing well at this time and is at home.

ASHLEY HULSEY is going to Duke University Hospital on March 8 for a series of tests to try and finally determine what her respiratory problems are and the treatment options.

JESSE PETERS will have surgery in March.

BRUCE STROUD is now at home after having been in Emory Hospital.  He had a procedure done to see if they could stop his atrial flutter, and doctors were unable to do that.  They are trying to treat this with medicines, but they are not sure if these are the necessary corrections.  He has to take it easy for 3 weeks and then go back and see the doctor.

We extend sympathy to the family of NELL HICKS, who passed away Tuesday morning.,  Her funeral was Friday at the Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna; she was buried in Jasper TN.
